COUNTY CAMP 1967
Was held during the Diamond Jubilee of Scouting and visited by the Chief Scout, Sir Charles Maclean, . John Askew is seen digging trenches around the tents due to the amount of rain we had.
The Troop name board used at many a camp or event is still in one piece and in safe hands!

A little bit of the history of the Group
The school was founded in 1886 and when scouts started in 1929, the Group adopted the school badge as their Group badge. The scarf was dark blue with a maroon border. I have 3 different nametapes but they all read 32nd Northampton (Eaglehurst College).
Cubs started in 1950 with Senior Scouts starting in 1955, this section closed in 1967 when the APR was introduced and the group closed in 1968.
I think the Group used to meet at the School when it was situated in Elysium Terrace, but when it moved to the Kettering Road, the group met in St Edmunds Church Rooms in Palmerston Rd although the camping kit was stored in the cellar of the school.
